Albaladia

In class we were given random city in the world to build a park around, I was given Fez, Morocco. I found that Morocco had a problem with children living on the street and refugees with no where to go. So I developed a center where they could find safety, productivity and play.

The design is aimed at being kid friendly and welcoming to the children of Fez.

 Brand Guides

Color was chosen from flags around the region to give it a friendly and international feeling.

The typeface was chosen for large strong letters with a softness to them, to show strength but not any harm.

Map

The Albaladia complex was mapped out for various activities and situations.

Sports is available for athletic activity, there is a garden to grow food, a school and dorm to accommodate slightly longer stays. The resource center was created to offer counseling and job services to those looking to recover and move forward.

Park Areas

The symbols for each area were found in the elaborate tile work that is done throughout the country of Morocco. This lets intricate symbols spring forth that still has a connection to the art and culture of the area.
