Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
vs.
Baragon (バラゴン Baragon) a subterranean reptile kaiju who came to the surface to feed on livestock and people.

1816 - Mary Shelley at the suggestion of Lord Byron—Mary, Percy Shelley, John Polidori and Byron himself, each agreed to try writing a ghost story. After thinking for days, Shelley was inspired to write Frankenstein after imagining a scientist who created life and was horrified by what he had made.
1818 - Frankenstein is published anonymously.
1831 - A revised edition of Frankenstein was published under Mary Shelley's name.
1931 - James Whale's Frankenstein plays in theaters.
1935 - Bride of Frankenstein
1945 - World War II is nearing it's end. The Japanese capture Frankenstein's heart from the Nazis. It is said the heart can never die. Hitler commits suicide in a bunker. Hiroshima & Nagasaki are bombed using nuclear weapons.
1954 - The emergence of Godzilla
1964 - Operation Snake Eater

1965- Many parts of Japan have been rebuilt and science is on the move. We mostly spend this crazy kaiju feature with boring scientists with dated 60s medical practices like cutting off limbs to see if they grow back. Eventually these boring scientist find a lost boy who is really a Frankenstin who grows into a kaiju and fights a dinosaur. It takes almost an hour for Frankenstein Conquers the World to really happen but he actually mostly eats some animals and torments some 1960s dancers and really just wants to be left alone.
The movie really does get fun with the kaiju fights and Frankenstein is sort of a King Kong. But in the end it's all a bit too little too late. This is the sort of movie I'd tell non completionists like me to watch a highlight real on YouTube if you're only kind of curious. Back in the day I caught some of the climax of this kaiju adventure on the SciFi Channel and maybe that was the correct way to watch it.
But! It is very funny how this is kind of a part of Godzilla continuity with Destroy all Monsters and Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla.
